YIN YOGA RESTORATIVE & MY EXPERIENCES
Former high-level sportswoman, swimming, mountain skiing and nautical skiing, concerned with maintaining a lovely body and its energy. After several expatriations and performing several various functions, I plunged into the world of yoga by understanding Yin Yoga by following a professor’s internship with Dhugal Meachem professor holding the international alliance of yoga certifications.
I only put names on poses I had used since I was 13 years old when I needed to stretch my body as a result of difficult sports efforts. Experienced in the Mézières method, also learned at a very young age. Restorative Yin Yoga is now my motivational activity to keep my body supple and energetic. In addition, having had several falls causing hernias, sciatica and low back pain, I immediately understood the urgency to practice it regularly rather than continue too violent sports, that my body in growing old, I could not bear anymore the hard sport! And I avoid the surgery ! I am delighted.
WHAT IS THE YIN YOGA RESTORATIVE
Yin yoga is the first yoga from Taoism and was practiced by Shaolin monks and samurai to extend the flexibility of the whole “Fascia Latta” that envelops the body and its organs. Yin is not very well known but is necessary to increase the body’s flexibility and well-being. It is also known as Restorative Yin. it’s also a way of finding ourself, meditate and listen to your body during poses that last 5 minutes or more.
As the years pass the body ages with programmed degeneration affecting the metabolisms of each individual differently. Restorative Yin also allows you to meditate and rediscover yourself during the different poses. After 4 to 5 sessions, the effects are visible both physically and internally. The practice of Yin stimulates the circulation of precious Hyaluronic acid. As a result, the “Fascia Latta” relaxes and while the nerves and tendons were trapped by sclerosis of the latter, recirculation of this acid releases the sciatic nerves and helps with lumbar and many other problems.
